Biography

I was born and live in beautiful South Devon, sharing my cottage with my Husband and Son as well as two monstrous hairy Lurchers, or Donkeys as my husband refers to them!

Outside we have two belligerent pet sheep, Boris and Doris, who punctuate their days of constant grass munching with hilarious attempts at mugging me for buns, bread, biscuits…anything really.

As well as this lot, we also keep a gorgeous array of chickens. A few pure breds (very beautiful and very posh) two or three cross breeds (not so beautiful or posh but full on character) and best of the lot, my wonderful, funny, naughty, affectionate ex battery ladies. These are the girls who inspire my artwork the most.

I am lucky enough to spend half my working day painting and drawing, as I have ever since I left school. The rest of my time is taken up with my work for the Battery Hen Welfare Trust who have re-homed a spectacular 62,313 lucky girls in the last three years.
